Happy New Year! I hope your 2017 is off to a wonderful start and that it brings you health, happiness, and success.
We went to kid-friendly a New Year’s Eve party, and while I wanted to look cute, my outfit had to be super functional. I struggle taking care of toddlers in heels since I basically struggle to actually walk in the heels. And I didn’t want to compromise my ability to bend over or stoop down by wearing a party dress. And…since I had no time to shop for a new outfit (even though I desperately wanted to), I created a New Year’s Eve outfit made of everything old. One piece is even 10 years old!!!
My husband gave me this Emporio Armani skirt 10 years ago!! He had to go to Las Vegas for work, and he did a little shopping while he was there. I haven’t worn the skirt in many years, but it kept calling my name from my closet. I am so glad I kept it, because it came back in style!

I feel that this look was the perfect choice for my New Year’s Eve outfit. It’s cute and has a light and fun personality, but it’s functional enough for me to bounce around with my young kids.
That’s whats up in winter party fashion today. Would you wear this outfit even if you weren’t heading to a bash with your kids? I would! But I would love to hear if you would! Let’s get the discussion going!
