Fall Skincare Products for Combination Skin

I’ve received a few inquiries from you lovely readers regarding my favorite skincare products.  My skin behaves differently throughout the change of seasons.  Since we are in the thick of the beautiful fall season, I thought it might be helpful to share with you the skincare products I am using on my combination skin this fall.

Fall Cleansers & Makeup Removers for Combination Skin

Biore Baking Soda Liquid Pore Cleanser

fall skincare products for combination skin
Because I have combination skin, it tends to be dry at times and in certain places and more oily around my T-Zone.  When I am feeling extra oily, I like to use this Biore cleanser in the morning, when my skin is makeup-free.  It’s great for my fall skincare routine because it doesn’t seem to dry out my skin.  It exfoliates leaves my skin feeling refreshed and clean, not tight or dry.  Exfoliation is an important element of my skincare regime during any season, because it’s necessary in removing dead cells from the skin’s surface.  Exfoliated skin looks radiant and healthy, and this cleanser is perfect for my skin.  Plus, it’s hypoallergenic and dermatologist-tested, and it is under $7 here!

Norwex Makeup Removal Clothsfall skincare products for combination skinEarlier this year, I reviewed the Norwex Makeup Removal Cloth.  This skincare product is a must for any skin type because it contains no harsh chemicals.  When you add water, the microfiber in the cloth grabs dirt, makeup, and oil (even eye makeup!), safely exfoliating and unclogging pores without irritating the skin.  Because water and tiny microfibers (not cleansers) are doing all of the work here, this cloth does not irritate my skin.  It’s gentle, safe, and effective, and you can use it again and again (provided you wash it at least once a week in a detergent free of dyes and perfumes).  If your skin is extra sensitive in the fall and colder months, this cloth is perfect for your skincare routine.  Sound interesting?  Read a more in-depth review here, and purchase through the link in that review or right here. 🙂

Burt’s Bees Sensitive Facial Cleansing Towlettes

You might be wondering why I am including these towlettes in my list of fall skincare products if I just raved about the Norwex Cloth above.  I prefer to use the Norwex Cloth for makeup removal, but I sometimes like to use the Burt’s Bees Towlettes in the morning in lieu of a cleanser.  This is especially true if I am in a hurry or will be further cleansing my skin a few hours later (say…after taking the kids to the swimming pool or after working out).  These wipes are 99.1% natural, so they cleanse my skin without irritating.  Plus, they don’t dry out my skin, which is the perfect feature for fall.

Fall Moisturizers for Combination Skin

Olay Total Effects Moisturizer + Serum Duo

I am wearing this moisturizer + serum duo this fall because it has the benefits of an anti-aging cream without being super heavy, like those creams usually are.  (Even if you are still in your teens, using an anti-aging product is helpful.)  While I don’t mind wearing a heavy cream when it is below 40 degrees, I don’t really want to wear one when it is 60 or 65 degrees.  If you aren’t sure what a serum is, it is a lightweight, highly-concentrated moisturizer that is able to sink deep into your skin without the heavy residue.  When you apply moisturizer on top, it acts as a protective barrier on your skin, locking in the anti-aging benefits of the serum.  This Olay duo is perfect for protecting combination skin from the crisper temperatures that fall brings.

Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Eye Swirl Gel Cream

If you like to use eye cream, I highly recommend this one from Olay Regenerist.  It is lightweight, so it’s super simple to apply concealer and eyeshadow on top of it.  I like to use it because it protects the delicate skin around my eyes while treating fine lines.  And like I said, even if you are still in your teens, it can’t hurt to use a nourishing anti-aging product.  This particular eye cream really does brighten the eye area, which can’t hurt on dry, fall days.

Fall Facial Masks for Combination Skin

Que Bella Beauty Masks from Target

Que Bella Beauty Deep Cleansing Aloe Vera Cream MaskIt’s no secret that I love the Que Bella Beauty Masks.  They are affordable, effective, and there is one for every skin type and issue.  I want to say that any of these are perfect for fall because I really do love them all…I’ve never been disappointed with one.  But because the Que Bella Deep Cleansing Aloe Vera Cream Mask isn’t super heavy, I am going to say that’s my top pick for cooler autumn temps.  It moisturizes and wakes up the skin all while deep cleansing.  Read my full review of it here.  I’ve also reviewed their Skin Brightening Mask, Eye Masks, and Pore Minimizing Mask if you would like to have a look.

Laneige Multiberry Yogurt Repairing Mask

You can also find this mask at Target.  I recommend it because, again, it’s not heavy at all.  It doesn’t even tighten on your skin while it dries.  It just sinks into your skin, lightly moisturizing delivering nutrients and antioxidants from all kinds of berries.  Antioxidants are great for helping skin stay healthy during the transition from warmer to cooler weather.  Also, the yogurt’s enzymes basically give your skin a big warm hug.  Added bonus:  It smells like delicious strawberry ice cream.

That’s what’s up and on my fall skincare list.  What are your fall skincare essentials?  Have you tried any of these products?
