In the mood for some new springtime threads? Look no further, and while you’re at it, put that money back in your wallet! Well, part of it, at least. I’m going to show you two multifaceted tops and add some unique vintage jewelry to complete the looks for less.
TJ Maxx and Marshall’s are basically each an entire mall in one department store. You can find treasures from almost any store in the mall all in one place, all without being distracted and tempted by pricey Starbucks treats or other food court goodies. It’s a shopping experience that’s easier on your wallet and leaves both hands free to do some rack combing!
I found this gorgeous and delicate cream lace top by Hollister and Co. at Marshall’s for $9.99. It just so happens that this top is almost 100 percent my style, so I couldn’t pass it up. It’s feminine, flirty, classy, AND radiates a beachy/bohemian vibe. Perfect!
Since Marshall’s doesn’t have an online store, here is a similar one from TJ Maxx. The only caveat is that it is 10 more dollars than what I paid for the Hollister top. However, at $19.99, it is still a very valuable addition to your closet. It can be worn with a blazer or cardigan over it. It can be worn with jeans, leggings of any color, or shorts and sandals or heels. You can winterize the top with boots, a chunky knit duster, and skinny jeans or leggings. Speaking of leggings, I am a fanatic. I completely underestimated the amount of Lauren Conrad leggings I own. With the 4 pairs of capri-length leggings I just ordered for a total of $10 (You read that correctly- $2.50 per pair after Kohl’s Cash and coupons!), I am nearing TWENTY pairs. But I do wear them almost every single day! Also, if you are not up for spending $19.99 at the TJ Maxx online store, you can always just go to your local Marshall’s and peruse the racks! You just might find the top I am wearing.
The second top I found at Marshall’s was also $9.99. Like the top above, it is made by Hollister and Co. I love that the shoulders are exposed- it makes the top more special. And the intricate lace back sold me!
Again, this can be worn in the spring, but like the cream lace top , it really does give you endless possibilities. I just couldn’t pass on a top that was under $10 and can basically be worn any day of the year. It can be dressed up or down, and it truly is a gem!
Onto the jewelry…
I love having a wide array of jewelry at my fingertips. Some pieces are fancier and more expensive than others, and I tend to save those pieces for special occasions. On a daily basis, I prefer wearing mostly lower-budget jewelry that makes more of a statement or goes with the “story” my outfit may be telling. I often gravitate towards vintage jewelry to accompany my beachy/bohemian clothes. I found this shop on Etsy that sells jewelry that fits my vibe perfectly! I purchased this unique bracelet for $20! It is vintage, and most likely from Italy in the 1910s or 1920s. No, it’s not real gold or real coral, but it still interesting and gels really well with some other bracelets of mine. And it’s a wonderful complement to the two tops you just saw.
I can’t decide which piece from this shop I want to purchase next! I really wish I could own all of it.
That’s what’s up today. Enjoy your weekend, and happy shopping!
Until next time…
